Born in a small English market town, I was raised surrounded by books.
Frequent visits to my grandparents' printing works in the tiny Hampshire village of Over Wallop fascinated me: the smell of printing ink and the sound of the presses; the books given to me at the end of the visit.
It was a company my father was to run and a place where I was to gain valuable experience.

Following a degree in French and a masters degree in History of Art, I met two publishers who encouraged me to try my hand at design, trusting me with projects to get me started. I learnt all about the technical side of printing. I experimented with layout and typography
and fell in love with design and books.
So here I am, living in a tiny village in the foothills of the Pyrenees with my husband and 2 children,
communicating with the world.
